About Ofelia's Bakery

WE'RE OPEN, COME AND VISIT OUR STORE!

As a traditional bakery whose roots began more than 40 years ago in Mexico, Casa Ofelia has been creating the authentic bread for the celebration of January 6 named Rosca de Reyes. We also concentrate on making the bread for the biggest commemoration for all Mexican, Day of the Dead. That tradition plus the main fact we produce all of our products by hand is what has made us who we are today.

The name Ofelia comes from my grandmother whose roots are from a little village of Piaxtla, which belongs to the state of Puebla. Her first son, Fernando, arrived in the USA in 1980 and baked all his bread at his apartment in Brooklyn. His method of reaching consumers was by placing the bread in small boxes and traveling, by train, to different destinations. To his efforts, he became the first Mexican to establish a bakery in Brooklyn, NY. Currently, Martin, the third generation, is the current owner of Casa Ofelia’s.

Since the start of the bakery, the main concept was distribution. We distribute our products to all locations of the Tri-State areas. Now are proud to have the first storefront since the opening of the bakery. Customers are welcome to see all traditional and non-traditional bread and pastries which they can enjoy while the bread is still warm.

We are staffed with the most professional bakers who make sure their quality control is the highest. We believe in using the best ingredients which will result in the best products.
